ORLANDO, Fla (Reuters) – The mother of accused child killer Casey Anthony testified on Tuesday that her daughter’s car smelled “worse than rotting flesh” when she and her husband found it in an impound lot a month after she had last seen her 2-year-old granddaughter Caylee.
“The car was overwhelming,” Cindy Anthony said. “The closest thing I could resemble it to was rotting flesh.”
But in her second emotional day on the witness stand, Cindy also provided testimony that could help support the defense team’s claim that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family’s backyard pool.
