LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) – Few sitcoms have ever celebrated Halloween as reverently as "Roseanne," since the spooky holiday was, to the Connor family, every bit as important as Christmas.

Mill Creek Entertainment recently released a DVD collection of the classic comedy's Halloween efforts, but TV Land is offering viewers a holiday-appropriate treat tonight with an eight-episode marathon of Roseanne's All Hallow's Eve efforts.

That means Roseanne dressed up as a lumberjack (and messing with some sexist braggarts at the Lobo), Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley getting all "Rosemary's Baby" with Roseanne. It kicks off with the episode "Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down," in which a pre-"ER" George Clooney guests as Jackie's boyfriend, Booker.

BOGOTA, Colombia – President Juan Manuel Santos dissolved Colombia’s scandal-plagued DAS domestic intelligence agency Monday, saying its employees will be transferred to other state offices.

He had already announced that the agency would be replaced by a new entity.

The agency was caught spying on presidential foes including judges, reporters and human rights activists during the 2002-2010 administration of Santos’ predecessor, Alvaro Uribe, Washington’s closest ally in the region at the time.

NEW YORK – In his rambling and darkly comic play “The Atmosphere of Memory,” David Bar Katz tells the story of a chronically self-centered playwright tormented by the emotional scars of his childhood and consumed by a production of his latest work, which happens to be a memoir.

Katz’s main character, Jon Stone (played by Max Casella), uses his play as a kind of cathartic exercise to dig up the roots of his deepest pain, long obscured in the murk of his unconscious. To complicate matters, Jon casts his famous mother to play herself.

This form of theater-as-therapy proves arduous, for Jon, his family, the cast of his play, and — at times during this 2 1/2-hour performance — the audience.

WASHINGTON – Early in his presidency, Barack Obama went to London for his first world economic summit as a global rock star — the U.S. president who as a candidate could command giant crowds at home in Denver or abroad in Berlin. This week he arrives in Cannes, France, for his fifth such summit no longer starring, just a key player in the band.

Throughout his presidency, Obama has pushed countries with trade surpluses such as China, Germany and Japan to do more to promote domestic spending and more to support global economic growth.

Though Obama continues to push that agenda, all eyes at this week’s meeting of leaders from the 20 largest industrial and developing nations will be on the urgency of Europe’s debt crisis and whether the continent can implement an ambitious plan to save the euro and keep the crisis from contaminating other economies.

NEW YORK – Andrew Madoff (MAY’-dawf) says he never suspected his financier father of running a Ponzi scheme because he grew up hearing what a legend he was.

He says people had an incredible vision of Bernard Madoff as a “spectacularly skillful trader.”

Andrew Madoff made his comments Monday during an appearance with his mother, Ruth, and his fiancée, Catherine Hooper, on NBC’s “Today” show.

Their appearance coincided with the publication of “Truth and Consequences,” by Laurie Sandell. It contains extensive interviews with family members.

Andrew Madoff says the book provided an opportunity to say in their own words what had really happened and “to speak to the thousands of victims I don’t know.”
