According to the latest report published by the New York State Department Of Labor, the city has witnessed an unchanged unemployment rate at 8.8% in the month ending February. The official note was published from the table of commissioner Colleen C. Gardener in which she clearly added that the nys unemployment rate is already sky rocketing which should be carefully looked after.

The nys dept of labor also revealed that some 8100 private sector jobs were created to add to the already hit job market in the month of February 2010 which according to analyst is a 0.1% gain. The world including the New York state has been hit high by the recession and is currently being faced at all levels. Due to this, youths as well as others who were fired from their jobs when layoffs occurred are facing this problem of unemployment. According to a source, the unemployment rate in the New York city amongst the youths is 21 percent.

2010 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Winners – The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards of 2010 were really impressive this time around. Some of the stars that attended the ceremony include some of the largest stars currently in the business, and the show was hosted by Kevin James.
Kevin James first saw his popularity take off after he first appeared in the show “The King of Queens.” The show has been a long running success, but James saw his first successes on the big screen in the movies “Hitch”, and his latest effort that did very well at the box office, “Mall Cop.” Many have stated that they believe that James would be an excellent host for the television show, as he has been noted as being very good with kids, especially on the sets of movies.
The Kid Choice Awards have been very good at teaming up with Disney, and nominating deserving Disney actors and other artists for the work that they do on kids shows. In previous years, one of the criticisms that was given to the awards show was that they did not nominate enough Disney characters for their roles in shows. Those criticisms have since been retracted, as a majority of the nominees in this years Kids Choice Awards are actually from the Disney Channel.
