The 32-page “Fame: Justin Bieber” comic, due out in October, will chronicle the 16-year-old singer’s climb to current heartthrob status.

Vancouver, Canada-based Bluewater last month released a similar biography comic of Robert Pattinson, “Fame: Robert Pattinson,” timed to coincide with the latest theatrical release of the Twilight movie franchise.

Bluewater has also released graphic biographies of Taylor Swift, David Beckham and Lady Gaga.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Fifty years ago, Roger Woodward earned bragging rights as one of the few people to survive a plunge over Niagara Falls.

Not that he ever used them.

For sure, the 7-year-old miracle boy who tumbled over the brink after a boating accident is part of the colorful folklore of the Falls. His story is told in the same breath as the fame and fortune-seeking adventurers led by schoolteacher Annie Taylor’s 1901 barrel ride with her cat.

But if one thing is clear in the last 50 years, it’s that Woodward is nothing like Taylor or the Karel Souceks, Steve Trotters and John Mundays who’ve followed, fashioning contraptions from pickle barrels and inner tubes to earn daredevil stripes.

On the 50th anniversary of his 162-foot drop, Woodward still wants no part of that club.

“Our story has absolutely nothing to do with anything heroic or of a daredevil-type nature,” he said during an interview from Hampton Cove, Ala., where, at age 57, he’s a semiretired real estate agent. “Those guys are in a world of their own. I frankly don’t understand it.”

JERUSALEM – He’s a Holocaust survivor dancing with his family on what easily could have been his own grave.

A video clip of Adolek Kohn awkwardly shuffling and shimmying with his daughter and grandchildren to the sound of “I Will Survive” at Auschwitz and other sites where millions died during the Holocaust has become an Internet sensation.

It’s also sparking debate over whether the images show disrespect for those who perished — or are an exuberant celebration of life.

The fight — raging on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere — poses uncomfortable questions about how to approach one of history’s greatest tragedies: What’s the “proper” way to commemorate it? Can a survivor pay homage in a way that might be unthinkable for others?

Adding to the irony, Kohn and his dancing brood owe their fame to neo-Nazi groups who posted the clip on their websites and turned it viral, his daughter told The Associated Press on Thursday.

The 4 1/2-minute video opens with the 89-year-old Kohn, his daughter Jane Korman and three grandchildren dancing near the infamous railroad tracks leading to Auschwitz.

MADRID – The Madrid Zoo said Thursday that it has made an offer to buy Paul, the octopus who became a pop culture sensation by correctly predicting the outcome of as many World Cup matches as he has legs – all seven of Germany’s games plus the Spain-Netherlands final.

The zoo said it made the offer after receiving hundreds of requests from Spaniards for Paul’s transfer from a German aquarium after Spain won the World Cup on Sunday.

Zoo spokeswoman Amparo Fernandez said an unspecified amount of cash was offered for the purchase of Paul, now a hero in Spain, which went wild after it won its first World Cup ever.

“We hope that within the next few days we will be able to confirm news that the admirable Paul will be part of the club of the most loved and charismatic animals of the Madrid Zoo,” said a statement from the zoo.

Paul’s owner – the Sea Life aquarium in Oberhausen, Germany – declined immediate comment and requested that a reporter send questions by e-mail.
